Grace Church is

Growing in Faith

Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

Philippians 4:9

Growing in Faith Through Giving

If you consider Grace your church, your pledge is an affirmation of your membership.

We invite you to talk to us about a making pledge to Grace Church. Please reach out through the Contact Grace form, or call the church office at (718) 624-1850, x 10.

Annual Giving

As Christians, we are called to contribute a portion of our time, talent, and treasure toward the work of God’s Church. Here at Grace, we support the Church by becoming involved with one of Grace’s many ministries and by making an annual financial pledge. Pledging provides critical funding for our operations and outreach and allows our ministries to thrive. Pledging also reflects our prayerful response to God’s call to be good stewards of our material possessions – we acknowledge that all that we are and all that we have are gifts from God.

Pledging Online

If you would like to make your pledge online, please use Realm, our church management system. If this is your first visit to Realm, click “Register Now” at the bottom of the screen. You will be asked to set up an account. Please take a moment to verify or provide your contact information, and then proceed to the Giving section. If you have questions regarding your profile or how to access your information, please call the church office at (718) 624-1850, x10.

Automatic Pledge Payments

Automatic payments, either through credit card or ACH debits from your bank account, are a thoughtful way to help Grace manage its cash flow by providing an assured schedule of pledge payments. You may set up regular payments through your profile on Realm.

From parishioner Anne Phelan:

“To me, Grace Church is a spiritual home where I and others are welcomed, not merely acknowledged or benignly left to our own devices. Its radical welcome is unlike that of any church I’ve belonged to.

“I pledge to Grace Church in the hope that the music program will not only contribute to worship, but draw in other people not affiliated with the church. I pledge in the hope that Grace’s many programs will grow and continue (what could be better than seeing the little kids dressed up as sheep in the Christmas Pageant?). I pledge so that the clergy can continue their important work. I pledge with the hope that the parish will continue to grow in its diversity. I pledge so that Grace will remain and thrive long after I am gone.”

One Time or Dedicated Gifts

One Time Gifts

As friend or visitor from near or away we welcome your one-time gift in support of the life and activities of our parish. You may make a one-time online donation to Grace through Realm.

Dedicated Donations

Monetary gifts to Grace support the basic life and activities of our parish. But you may also make a gift for a dedicated purpose.

Altar Flower Dedications are offered in honor or memory of a loved one or to mark a special event such as a Baptism. A contribution of $200 provides two vases of flowers that adorn the Altar.

The Rector’s Discretionary Fund offers immediate, confidential assistance to those who come to Grace seeking compassionate support for expenses such as health care, food, clothing, housing, funerals and education.

The Grace Church Music Fund supports guest musicians and other special music programs at Grace.

The Organ Fund helps maintain and care for our valuable Austin organ.

The Grace Church Memorial Fund, comprising gifts made in memory of those who have died, supports our worship ministries, the Altar Guild and church improvements and/or beautification.

Make your designated gift here and select the fund you wish to support from the drop-down menu. You may also send a check, noting the intended fund in the memo line, placing it in the offering plate or mailing it to Grace Church Brooklyn Heights, 254 Hicks Street, New York, NY 11201. Please identify the fund in the memo line on the check.

Grace Brooklyn Heights Conservancy

The Grace Brooklyn Heights Conservancy was established in 2012 to support the restoration of the historic buildings of Grace Church. As a separate tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization, the Conservancy is able to receive contributions from organizations that could not otherwise support religious institutions. These organizations may include employer matching gift programs, and private or public organizations that provide grants to preserve historic buildings. The Conservancy directs gifts and grant funds toward those capital projects approved by the Vestry.

To make a gift to the Conservancy, make out your check to “Grace Brooklyn Heights Conservancy, Inc.” and place it in the offering plate, or mail it to the church at 254 Hicks Street, Brooklyn, New York 11201.

Matching Gifts

We are grateful to those parishioners who are able to enhance their personal donations through their employers’ matching grants program. Please obtain an application form from your employer, and let us know if you need supporting documents or information from the Conservancy. Please instruct your employer to make out the check to “Grace Brooklyn Heights Conservancy, Inc.”

Bequests and Planned Giving

“Where there is no vision the people perish.” Proverbs 29:18

Honor the Past, Sustain the Present, Nurture the Future.

For more than a century and a half, Grace Church has served the people of Brooklyn and the wider world. During that time, many individuals have expressed their gratitude to the church and to God by remembering Grace Church in their long-term financial planning. These bequests or deferred gifts have played an important role in the life and work of this parish and will continue to do so in the future.

The Grace Church Legacy Society was established in 2008 to celebrate the 160th anniversary of the dedication of Grace Church Brooklyn Heights and to honor those who include Grace Church in their estate plans or make a gift to the endowment during their lives. See our Legacy Society brochure and enrollment form.

To join the Legacy Society, please notify The Rev. Dr. Allen F. Robinson that Grace has been named in your will or that you have planned another type of deferred gift, or that you intend to.

Thank you for your generosity!

For more information on any of these opportunities for giving, please use the Contact Grace form.
